f.o.l.k. serves the kirkland community by:

• Sponsoring book sales:
  F.O.L.K. sponsors two book sales per year (First Saturday in May and first Saturday in November). We offer a high quality selection of new and used books at discount prices. In addtion, we sell books at the annual "Taste of Kirkland", in Kirkland's Marina Park, and on an ongoing basis in the Kirkland Library foyer.

• publicizing:
  The functions, resources, and needs of the Kirkland Library

• Fund-raising for:
  Children's, Young Adult, and Adult reading programs, as well as for supplies, special events, and special library purchases
